2nd BSS Art Night

Bukit Sunrise School had its second Art Night on 15 February 2019. This annual school event is aimed at raising funds to support a charitable organization or civic group which the children have chosen. Just like last year, the grade four students were assigned to find the organization and to present it to the other students. This year the students chose to help Yayasan Puspadi Bali.

Yayasan Puspadi Bali is an NGO in Bali that supports people with disabilities by providing access to rehabilitation, education, training, and employment. This organization is located in Denpasar. However, they do not only support children in Bali but also in Eastern Indonesia.

The primary and preschool students prepared art works during their Art class and the best ones were either sold or auctioned during the Art Night. The proceeds from the sale and auction of the art works were given to YayasanPuspadi Bali. This year we made Rp7.420.000 from the auction and Rp3.107.000 from the art works sale. Aside from these, we also collected Rp4.486.200 from donationsfrom the parents, teachers and the school Yayasan.
